Product Overview

NameBMP 7 Human, CHO
Description
Bone Morphogenetic Protein-7 Human Recombinant, CHO
Accession (Primary)P18075
Synonyms
Bone morphogenetic protein 10, BMP-10.
Introduction
Bone Morphogenetic protein-10 also known as BMP-10 takes an important part in the development of the embryonic heart by acting to stimulate and maintain cardiomyocyte proliferation. BMP-10 signals through numerous receptor complexes usually containing BMPR-1A, BMPR-1B, ALK1, ALK3, or ALK6. The interaction of BMP-10 with its specific receptors induces signaling initiated by the phosphorylation of SMAD transcription factors, including SMAD1, SMAD5, or SMAD8, but can also induce SMAD independent processes. BMP-10 is structurally related to BMP-9, and both can inhibit endothelial cell proliferation and migration.
Source
HEK.
Physical Appearance
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Formulation
The BMP10 protein was lyophilized from 10mM Sodium Citrate, pH 2.7 and 75mM NaCl .
Stability
Lyophilized BMP10 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution BMP10 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 95.0% as determined by analysis by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis.
Amino acid sequence
NAKGNYCKRT PLYIDFKEIG WDSWIIAPPG YEAYECRGVC NYPLAEHLTP TKHAIIQALV HLKNSQKASK ACCVPTKLEP ISILYLDKGV VTYKFKYEGM AVSECGCR.
Biological Activity
The specific activity was determined by its ability to induce alkaline phosphatase production in the ATDC-5 cell line and is typically 4.0-6.0 ng/ml ED50.
Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized BMP10 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Precautions
BMP 7 Human, CHO is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.

Target Information: ( P18075 )
